Fantastic news – our expansion plans for Porters Ski Area have received planning approval! This is a huge step for us in our planned improvements for the ski area and village, to find out more, read the full article.
We’ve now completed our summer maintenance programme, and are in full swing getting ready for the snow. Our snowmaking system will be ready to go as soon as temperatures and humidity allow, we’ll keep you posted with action from the mountain as things happen. Don’t forget to keep an eye on the webcams here.

Expansion at Porters Ski Area Receives Planning Approval

The $500 million proposal to expand Porters Ski Area into Crystal Valley and build a year-round alpine village at the foot of the ski area has been given the necessary resource consents and plan change approvals to proceed.
