Haere Ra - Have a Great Summer!

The gate is locked, the t-bars are still, and it's cold! Porters has now closed for the 2009 season.

After an exciting finish to the season over the past couple of weeks, we're now closed for the winter '09. The staff are taking some well deserved time to re-coop, relax, and enjoy the springtime, after a long and prosperous winter season. We had a great crew on board this year, and Porters would like to thank each and every member of staff in 2009 for their hard and dedicated work throughout the season.

As we wind down, our operations crew will climb into the annual task of maintaining and upgrading the ski area over the summer months. There's plenty to do, and in addition, we'll be looking into Crystal Valley as the snow disappears so as we're better able to understand the ecology of the valley, and how the Porters Project can work in this area with minimal impact on the surrounding environment.
