An absolute fizzer today up the hills, perfect clear and calm frosty day, and 20cm of new snow to play in. If ever there was a day to forget about work and run to the hills, this is it. Quote of the day so far, seeing as I wasn't here yesterday; "You should of been here yesterday bro!" Enough said....

Winter is cranking at Porters. As the snow continues to fall, the skiing just gets better and better. Overnight and this morning, we had a further 10cm of new snow with the Sou-West front that came through, and patrol reporting awesome skiing during morning control sweeps.

Morning all! It's a powder day! 20cm of fresh snow over the whole mountain from the recent storm on top of 15cm earlier in the week. After being closed yesterday, patrol have had time to complete avalanche control work and observe the snow pack.

The easterlies continue! We've received a further 20cm of wind and temperature affected snow overnight, adding to the 10-15cm we received in the past few days. The mountain is looking great after the top up, and it's definitely nice to be skiing on fresh snow again!

More snow overnight, another light dusting of 2-3cm of snow, on top of the 10-15cm that fell yesterday. We currently have overcast skies, and it is snowing lightly with no wind. We have good to fair visibility, with the forecast set remain this way during the day, more snow coming later in the day and overnight.
