Kia ora and welcome. Thank you for taking the time to gain more information about the proposed Porters Expansion.
The requested plan change is to re-zone the land from ‘Rural High Country’ zone to ‘Ski Area’ zone under the Selwyn District Plan. This is a zone type that has been used in Queenstown and Wanaka for some 15+ years.
We have a number of informational tools to help give you more information about what and how we propose to expand into Crystal Valley, including an alpine village at the base of the existing Porters Ski Area.
