Methven to Porters
Let's face it, sometimes change is nice! If you're based in methven, we're only a short hours drive away. Here at Porters we have some fantastic terrain, friendly faces, and spectacular views, plus because we're so close, it's all here for you to enjoy.
There are two routes when travelling between Methven and Porters. The main route is via Sheffield and Springfield on SH72 and SH73. Then there is the high country back route 62km on Lake Lyndon Road through New Zealand’s beautiful back country. Turn left immediately after the Rakaia Gorge Bridge - it is unsealed for 30km and can sometimes be closed after big snow falls. Always carry chains in alpine environments, we will update this message again with any changes in conditions that we are aware of, please contact us if you are unsure.
