Our season passes offer superb value for skiing and snowboarding throughout the winter season. Once again, we’re offering a wide range of pass options to suit, along with our new Family pass concept that has proven very popular for many Canterbury skiing families.

Our season passes are available exclusively via the Porters online store – Early Season Passes and the ULTIMATE Family season pass are on sale from 15th March to 30th April 2012. Read on for further information about the 2012 season passes.

2012 Season Pass Rates

Porters Ultimate Family Season Pass
Now entering it’s 3rd season, it’s the Ultimate NZ family skiing deal! Two Youths under 18 ski for free!
Choose up to six family members of three generations for unlimited skiing or riding at Porters in 2012. These passes are good for the entire immediate family*, up to 6 family members, including two grandparents. Family pass make-up must consist of at least 2 adults and 2 youths, with each additional youth or grandparent able to be added at a cost of $100 each. All must be of the same immediate family. The Porters Ultimate Family Season Pass is only available up to 30th of April, 2012.

Individual Porters Full Season Pass
Individual pass rates remain the same for 2012. All 2011 Adult and Student full season pass-holders are eligible for a $50 loyalty discount off Early season pass purchases, online only.

Individual Porters Mid-week Season Pass
Midweek season passes are available for use Monday to Friday only*. Student passes are available only to full-time NZ tertiary students only. New for 2012, we offer a Youth midweek season pass @ the just $99. The Youth mid-week pass cannot be used during school holidays, please purchase a Youth full season pass ($199) in order to ski during the school holidays.

* NOTE: Youth Mid-week season passes are not eligible for use during NZ school holiday periods. Only Full season passes are eligible at this time.
- Loyalty Discount for 2011 full season pass holders – $50 for adults and students on individual early bird rates (i.e. until 30th April, full passes only).
- No loyalty discount for family passes or 2011 midweek passholders.
- All students must show Tertiary Institution full ID and proof of full-time status. No high-school student may purchase a ‘student’ pass, these rates apply to full-time tertiary students only.
- Bookings by mail (paying by cheque), add $20 to order total per pass.
- The Early rates apply to online applications only.
- Children under 7 and adults over 75 years pay only a $30 processing fee.
- All full season passes are valid throughout the 2011 season, including the school holidays.
- Mid-week Youth season passes cannot be used during school holidays.
- Payment must be received in full by the designated date to secure the relevant rate as stipulated above.
- All pass-holders must agree with the Porters Season Pass Terms and Conditions 2012.
Porters Season Pass Warranty
If you’re an Early season pass holder, you might like to buy a warranty. They’re $50 each for individuals, or $90 for families (no charge for full-price season pass holders, purchased after 15th June).
A warranty covers your 2012 season pass for a change of circumstances or injury. If a warranty is purchased, all you have to do is return it to us before the 22nd of July and we’ll transfer your season pass to the following winter season. Under no circumstances will a cash refund be given.
Warranties only apply for a single season – the pass may only be up-taken in the following season. Passes are non-refundable, even if they had little or no use, or were not collected. If no warranty is purchased, passes cannot be transferred to the following season. There are no cash refunds under any circumstances.

Age Definitions
Please note: The age definitions stipulated below represent the relevant pass-holders age at the start of the 2012 winter season (24th June 2012). Porters reserve the right to ask for proof of age and family association (family season pass) in order to confirm a customers age and/or family eligibility.

Payment for your pass
There are a two ways to secure a pass:
• CREDIT CARD ONLINE – you can buy a pass through our secure online shopping cart. Early season passes are available to purchase from midday on the 15th March to the 30th of April 2012.
• CHEQUE (apply online) – If you wish to pay via cheque, you’re still required to fill in an online application form. After you’ve made your pass selections for you and your family, and are happy with your shopping cart, proceed to the ‘Pay by Cheque’ option from the check out, and details of where to send your payment to will be supplied. $20 is added to each pass which is paid for by cheque.
We’re currently investigating with customers how we can improve the pass payment process. If you have any ideas on how we can improve the system for you, or if you’re interested in paying for your pass over a number of months, please drop us a line and we will consider your query.
Season Pass Photos
Upload your photo through the online application form at the same time as you enter your details; please ensure that the jpeg photo is passport style (clearly shows your face and features, with no hats or eyewear), is current and is not larger than 100KB.
As you’re now creating an account on our website in making your purchase, your image will be stored on our system for future pass purchase. Please feel free to update your photo and/or change your contact details via our website at any stage, we will use your new details and photos in the future. You will be promted to select and upload your new photos to your account if necessary as you proceed through the online store.
All passes are printed on digital security cards and remain the property of Porters Ski Area Ltd. Pass-holders must obey the safety rules and regulations of Porters Ski Area Ltd and the Snow Responsibility Code at all times while accessing the ski area. Failure to do so may result in the suspension of your access.
Bonus Discounts
All full season passes (excl. mid-week) come with reciprocated lift pass discounts: $20 adult, $15 student, $10 youth at Mt Ruapehu and Cardrona. Similar discounts apply at Mt Dobson and Mt Lyford. These discounts are yet to be confirmed for the 2012 winter season and are subject to change at any time without notice.
