Porters learner facilities are outstanding. Our Ski Mat carpet-lift makes progression for beginners so easy, and our platter lift provides one of the best intermediate slopes for snowsports skill development in the country.
The Porters Snow Sport School is second-to-none, with a wide range of international and local instructors ready to help you improve your skiing or boarding. Our popular holiday and improvement programmes for young skiers and snowboarders are the perfect way to progress skills and technique. Put our fantastic team of expert ski and boarding instructors to use – whether you are learning for the first time, are feeling rusty or have some new gear to master, they can show you the way and make the learning process swifter and more enjoyable.
Our rental department is fully equipped with a large range of the newest carving skis, boots and snowboard gear. All the Porters equipment is constantly tuned by our experienced technicians so you get the best experience possible. They can also give your own gear the same treatment. Just drop it in, they’ll tune it up and quickly have it running better than ever.
As far as the great skiing goes – it’s better than ever. Led by our two most famous runs – Bluff Face and Big Mama – we have a wide range of slopes to suit every ability.
And of course, we’re still just as close ever – just 89km from Christchurch, in fact.
