23/07/2011 – Terraces Open

We’ve now got a 3 mini-kicker line set up on the terraces, with the mini park below with our 6m Butter box, 8m flat down box, the flat down rail, and a grommie-kicker… Some photos from this morning as below.

15/07/2011 – Open for Businesses

The ski area is open for 2011. We received truckloads of fresh snow from the week of storms, and the terraces are looking good, with loads of snow out lower Bluff we can draw on as well.

At this stage (opening day yesterday) we’ve put in a 8m flat-down box along with the new 6m butter-box at the mini park on the platter lift, lower mountain (as below).

We’ll have more features going in at the mini park shortly for school holidays, and as soon as the upper mountain lift-lines and access to upper slopes are sorted, we hope to get some time to move snow around the terraces. We’ll update you with Community Park opening here and via FaceBook as soon as we have word.

Cheers,
Al.

Welcome to the Porters Community Park 2011!

Hey Everyone,

Hope summer is treating you well or if your in the northern hemi the snow is falling. I’m riding at Avoriaz in France for the season. After huge early season snowfalls its been very quiet on the snow front recently, fortunately the parks here are super fun and keeping everyone happy until the snow arrives.

Already looking forward to another epic season in the community park, we have several new features to roll out at the start of the season including a 6m by 1.2m butter box and 8 metre roundbar.

Will be posting regular updates on this page from early June as we gear up for winter. In the mean time, a few shots from what it’s like over here, and some shots from recent times at Porters.

Cheers,
Alan Lelieveld.
