Porters is Open! Winter officially kicked off today at Porters Ski Area with eager customers and smiles all around, some great skiing and riding on offer.

 

Another cold night enabled Porters snow making team to blanket the main groomed trails with silky snow. The cold conditions this week allowed for a great snow cover on the Learners, Platter and T-Bar 1 up to Tower 7. These are the lifts now operating, and Porters are currently offering an awesome deal of $45 adult and $25 youth lift pass rates, giving even more school holiday value to Canterbury families.

 

There is an average of 30 - 40cm base on all groomed trails which are open, with excellent skiing and riding. Porters are hopeful to open more terrain soon, as soon as snow conditions allow. Porters access road is in superb conditions, with no chains current;y required making getting to the slopes that little bit easier. 

 

The fun continues as the July school holidays get started, with Porters Kids Camp and the Porters Training Academy getting underway - fun on the snow for everyone! Porters Community Park crew are happy to see the first few features installed for the start of the season, with two new PVC round pipes the latest additions, in place and ready to ride.
