Do you want to spend a season learning the skills to become a ski instructor, on some amazing New Zealand terrain? You can become qualified and continue the season in paid employment at Porters, giving you the qualifications and experience to continue your instructor career anywhere in the world.
About our Instructor Internship
This is an intense block of training to help you quickly develop the skills to become an instructor, giving you the opportunity to work with some top instructors from all over the world. With a maximum of six trainee instructors per group, the training is focused, allowing you to develop your teaching and personal ski development quickly.
The Instructor Internship includes:
- Skier analysis
- Develop lesson progression techniques
- Shadow world-class instructors
- Lead your own lessons
- Option to sit NZSIA Level 1 (August 19-23 at Porters) and Level 2 exams (additional cost applies)
- Continue in paid employment as part of the Ski School team at Porters
Full and Part Time Courses
You have the option to join us for a full 14-weeks of training, or if you're keen to fit this in with other commitments, we have a part-time option available.
